The Arete Living Arts Foundation will be offering free computer training on creative software programs to economically disadvantaged residents of Mifflin and Juniata counties in rural Pennsylvania and in New York City.

Among the training offered will be graphic design on Adobe Photoshop, video editing on Adobe Premiere, HTML programming and web design on Macromedia DreamWeaver, and special effects and flash animation on Adobe AfterEffects and Adobe LiveMotion.

The training will take place at Areteís studio on Logan Street in Lewistown. The programs run three months in length and provide both classroom lessons and real-life work experience. The training provides recipients with skills that can bring high salaries in the job market, as well as allow them to use the most modern technology to express themselves artistically. Those who satisfactorily complete the program will receive a letter of recommendation detailing the studentís computer skills and work performance.
